The journey of a young mans return to the coast after living and working with his father in the hot and dry Australian Queensland Outback.

Leaving behind the unforgiving drought cruel to both man and beast, "Kane" leaves the outback town of Tambo and starts his journey, his
right of passage back to the coast for whatever awaits him.
After hitching a ride on a cattle truck from Roma stock sale yards he has returned to his first love, "the ocean".

The coast he knew has grown in the past five years since Kane went bush with more traffic than he could imagine, all seem to be headed
for the city of Surfers Paradise.
He finds a busy now metropolitan hub of locals, holiday makers and beach enthusiasts. After checking in at the backpackers Kane meets
two streetwise young girls that take him partying city style, they lead him down the wrong path initiating him back into the fast lane once
again like in his wild younger teenage years.

After learning hard lessons with alcohol and drink spiking Kane is set on the right path when meeting older and more grounded people in
a shared house accomodation situation.
This is "The Beach House", situated 200 metres from the surf on the bustling "Gold Coast" waiting to be swept up in a tide of real estate
redevelopment that has crept closer in the last few years bringing more people in numbers not seen there ever before.

With roads choking, drivers are enraged and fuel is being idled out from exhausts while queuing for a parking space at the beach that just
aren't there.
Trying to adapt to the newcomers are the local people, born or have lived there for over 20 years.
All with a point of view about the "Sea Change" but not being heard by a state government that is swamped with infrastructure problems
of mass migration. Not unique, but more of an example of what is happening worldwide on our coastlines and major cities.

Kane adapts to his new life quickly in the beachside suburbs of Surfers Paradise only to realise his potential as a rising surfer is justified
through his local surfing club competition placings after being mentored by his housemates friend, an ex pro surfer who notices potential.

His years of growing up on the coast before going bush to live with his father are the catalyst for his ability to rip it up in the Surf.
His new surf board plays a big part in his quest to gain a wild card entry into competitions on the Gold Coast then Sydney, and winning.
After achieving this Kane returns to his new home in Surfers Paradise a hero before his recent wild past comes back to affect the people
around him he cares for with almost fatal consequences.

Now missing his ex girlfriend back in Tambo Kane is faced with the news that he will lose her forever to the local football hero.
With a surfing sponsorship now being offered he makes the trip back home to Tambo arriving unexpectedly on the big local race day for
a home coming that can only be termed as eventful and life changing.
His destiny is governed by the love and respect for his ex girlfriend, his father, plus the need for a stable family life and future.
Kanes first love was the ocean, only now to be replaced by those things in life that truly matter to an Australian, "Boy from the Bush".
